The Network Factory VI: Beyond The Art

Join us for an enlightening discussion on May 16, 2024, from 5:30 to 9:00 PM, as we commemorate these artists and their journey to expand their artistic practices. We're also thrilled to kick off The Andy Warhol Museum's 30th Anniversary weekend with this event. Discover their impact both internationally and in the city of Pittsburgh.

Janel Young: A painter, muralist, and community advocate on a mission to inspire through creativity and play. Janel's work, recognized locally and internationally, connects people to equity and justice values through visual arts.

Matt Gondek: A Deconstructive Pop Artist whose vibrant work celebrates rebellion and destruction. With a vivid pop color palette, Matt's art challenges societal norms and satirizes our absurdities.

Max Emiliano Gonzales (GEMS): An activist, art educator, muralist, and graffiti writer with a unique perspective. Max's community-driven mural events brighten the walls of any community they're invited into.

Moderated by:

Natalie Sweet: Executive Director of Brew House Arts, brings over a decade of experience in Pittsburgh's arts scene. Holding a BA in Art History from the University of Pittsburgh, Natalie has curated notable exhibitions, including the inaugural show at Brew House Arts' renovated gallery.
